Bob Marley’s Grand Daughter Awarded in Toronto የ ቦብ ማርሊ የልጅ ልጅ በቶሮንቶ ተሸለመች:

የ ቦብ ማርሊ የ ልጅ ልጅ ዶኒሻ ፕሬንደርጋስት በ ቶሮንቶ ተሸለመች:: የ ቦብ ማርሊ የ ልጅ ልጅ ዶኒሻ ፕሬንደርጋስት በ ቶሮንቶ ተሸለመች ዶኒሻ የተሸለመችው ፈርስት ፍራይዴይስ በተሰኘ ዝግጅት ነው ። ሽልማቱ የተሰጣት በፊልም እና የማህበረሰብ እንቅስቃሴዋ ነው

The granddaughter of the legendary Reggae artist Bob Marley, Donisha Prendergast received the award yesterday in Toronto.

At a ceremony held in connection with the Toronto First Fridays event, Bob’s granddaughter Donisha received the Jackie Robinson Fortitude Award.

A well-known African Canadian Activist and community leader Dewitt Lee and the Founder and CEO of First Fridays, Warren Salmon presented the award  

According to Dewit Lee, Bob Marley’s granddaughter was awarded for the impactful documentary film called RasTa and for her activism in the arts.

Donisha is promoting the signature ideals her grandfather, Bob Marley stood for. She acted on the film “RasTa” that casted light upon Rastafarianism among audiences all over the globe.

Donisha traveled around the world introducing her movie, Ras Ta , A soul’s Journey, discovering and introducing Rastafarian culture . Her tour included countries such as Ethiopia, India, Kenya and Jamaica where the Rasta culture is well known.

The 30 years old granddaughter of the late Bob Marley studied at the School of Image Arts.
