Internationally acclaimed Ethiopian artist Tewodros Kassahun, famously known as Teddy Afro received a recognition in Toronto.
At an event organized by The Ethio Canadian Heritage center, Teddy and his wife Amleset received a warm welcome
Upon receiving the award, Teddy Afro expressed his gratitude to Ethiopians in Toronto for the recognition.
The organizers said Teddy was recognized for his effort in promoting peace and reconciliation and also for preserving Ethiopia`s rich history and culture through his music.
During the occasion Teddy and other dignitaries were treated with a moving performance from the Hagere Dance Group in Toronto.
Teddy Afro`s recent album Ethiopia, tops the Billboard music chart putting Ethiopian music on the international map of entertainment . The album was highly acclaimed by his fans around the world and had him appear for interviews on major international media outlets .
