Toronto Celebrated Newcomer Day 

More than half of its residents are born outside of Canada . Toronto celebrated Newcomers this week .At Natan Philips  Square , in front  of the Toronto city Hall , the city celebrated  Newcomer Day.

 As a city that encompasses all nations,Toronto is claiming its status as being the most diverse city in the world . A recent study by the BBC Radio revealed that 51 percent of Toronto’s population is foreign born .
The diverse city of Toronto is now home for residents of more than 230  nationalities . Better known as the financial capital of Canada , Toronto has a population of 6 million.
An estimated 40-50 thousand Ethiopians live in Toronto . The Danforth Streep between Greenwood and Coxwell streets has the biggest concentration of Ethiopian businesses.
There has been an ongoing effort to officially name that area “Little Ethiopia”
