Toronto’s Ethiopian Community Pays Tribute

The Ethiopian-Canadian population came out strong to show its deep sadness on the brutal beheading and shooting of 30 Ethiopian  and Eritrean Christians in Libya.

Droves of people in black, lit candles, prayed and paid tribute to each victims in Libya and South Africa. The emotional event had religious and civic leaders in attendance.

This vigil was organized by the Ethiopian Community Association in the GTA.

The night ended with a promise to raise funds and advocate the issues of migration of Ethiopians all over the world.

There is to be another event planned at Dundas Square on Tuesday from 4:30 PM onwards.
