KATHLEEN WYNNE CELEBRATES ‘ONE ONTARIO

Premier Discusses Ontario Liberal Support for New Ontarians
In a press release sent to ethiofidel.com by the Ontario Liberal party,  the Premier Kathleen Wynne outlined the Liberal Plan to create high-skill, high-paying jobs, invest in infrastructure and help Ontarians retire with dignity and security in Toronto today.

“In Ontario, we are blessed with so many vibrant communities, each one a proud source of strength, each one a part of what makes us One Ontario,” said Premier Wynne. “Leadership is about putting people before politics, and the comprehensive Liberal Plan will ensure opportunity for every person in our great province.”

The 2014 Liberal Plan will include a number of initiatives to attract skilled immigrants to Ontario, provide more culturally appropriate health care and help more Ontario companies win business outside Canada. A re-elected Liberal government will also continue to invest in the talent and skills of Ontarians through initiatives like full-day kindergarten and the 30% Off Tuition Grant. DSC03155Liberals will also partner with business and build new roads, bridges, highways, transit, schools and hospitals to create good jobs throughout the province.

“We developed our Plan after reaching out to as many communities as possible and listening to what mattered most to them,” said Premier Wynne. “A Liberal government for Ontario will fulfill these commitments.”

Premier Kathleen Wynne discussed how a Liberal government will launch the Ontario Retirement Pension Plan to tackle the looming pension income crisis. The Liberals will also help Ontario families with their living costs by lowering auto insurance rates and making electricity costs more affordable, and make record investments in home and community care to support the province’s seniors.

The positive, balanced Liberal plan is in stark contrast to the NDP’s risky indecision and Tim Hudak’s plan to tear Ontario down by firing 100,000 Ontarians, including teachers, food and water inspectors, and firefighters. A number of well-respected economists from across Canada have already described the Hudak PC’s platform as “an absolute disaster” that “needs to be redrafted.”

“The people of Ontario have a clear choice in this election – between Tim Hudak’s drastic cuts to jobs and growth by firing 100,000 people, the untested NDP’s risky tactics, or our Plan to invest in our most valuable asset – our people,” said Premier Wynne. “The Liberal Plan will help us tackle our challenges, create good jobs and move Ontario forward.”
