CEO of the Ethiopian Airlines got an award from Canadian Media!

A Toronto based Media group, Planet Africa Television awarded the CEO of the Ethiopian Airlines (EAL) with a professional excellence award. At a lavish ceremony held on November 2 at the International Center in Toronto, Planet Africa TV gave the award for Tewolde Gebremariam for his tremendous efforts to expand the Airlines.

Planet Africa TV said under Tewolde’s leadership the Airlines witnessed an exponential growth including expanding to Canada. In his passionate speech after receiving the award, Tewolde thanked his eight thousand staff at the Airlines and his team in Toronto for their tremendous hard work. He told the audience that “Ethiopian Airlines is the largest indigenous African Airlines managed, operated and owned by Africans”

The three days EAL direct flight between Toronto and Addis Ababa is expanding and according to The CEO, it will bring a lot of foreign direct investment to Africa. At the same night, a lineup of individuals and organizations received their awards in various categories of sports, entertainment, volunteer, academic achievement, leadership, entrepreneurship, and humanitarianism.
